Get Reviews for your Business with just a Cell phone!

At Chatavise, our goal is to make your life easier and help you make the most of each work day. However, we know that not everyone is looking to make major changes, nor does everyone need to! Oftentimes, the best step forward is improving on the techniques you are already using. For many growing businesses, that means using a cell phone for daily customer communication.

Below is a helpful list of tips to consider implementing as a means to serve your customers as best as possible while also doing yourself and your business the huge favor of using texting to gain more reviews. If you are already implementing any of these strategies, I’d like to commend you for your efforts and I hope you will find valuable new information here as well.

Optimize reviews with just your cell phone

    • Try using texting for all customer contact beyond the initial booking phone call (confirmation of the order, reminders if it is booked in advance, on the way texts, follow ups after completion). This will eventually limit the amount of phone calls you receive, giving you more time in your day back, and customers will feel engaged and involved with your business throughout your time working together!

    • Be personable! Use the customer’s name and a greeting, such as “good morning”, or ”good afternoon”, to make them feel comfortable with your company, especially if you are going into their home.

    • Try to use the same template for each type of customer communication to keep things consistent. For example, each confirmation text you send to customers should be identical besides their name, the greeting you use, and any identifying information you would like to send about the order. The same goes for reminder texts, on the way texts, review invites, etc. This will allow you to get a trend for how you are performing and make one change at a time within your messaging if needed. I have included a resource on how to set up templates on an iPhone below! https://www.techwalla.com/articles/how-to-make-an-sms-template-on-an-iphone

    • Give your customers an easy way to review your company by texting them a link to go straight to Google/Facebook/your preferred review site. The template for this text may look something like this:

        • Good afternoon [customer name], thank you for using [business name]! How was your service? Please click the link to leave us feedback! [insert a link directly to your Google My Business or Facebook page here]

        • For an added bonus, you can include the name of the customer service representative or technician that assisted the customer- customers are more likely to leave a happy review for a familiar face!

    • Using a short URL tracking service like Chatavise’s Smart Links will allow you to track how many clicks you are getting- simply put, this will tell you if customers are engaging with the links you send, and whether you need to adjust the template you are using. With this information, you will be able to react accordingly if a customer has not clicked a review invite after a certain amount of time has passed and you would like to follow up with another invite or a call to that customer.

We hope you find this information to be valuable to your business and day to day interactions with customers! My goal is to help you save time while making only minor changes to the way you run your business daily, using low-risk but high-reward techniques that will also benefit and impress your customers. If you have any questions or would like to discuss any of these techniques further, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly and I will be happy to help you implement these ideas, provide new methods for customer communication, and plan for the future.
